The Dolfor Inn

The Dolfor Inn is a quaint bed and breakfast with five individual bedrooms: three en-suits and two with a large shared bathroom. We have a dining room serving delicious homely food and a bar, with a cosy open fire and beams throughout. We also have a function room that can cater for thirty people; a private room, away from the bar, which could be used for meetings, conferences, birthday parties, christenings, funerals etc.

The Dolfor Inn is located in a small rural community, about ten minutes away from Newtown (a small market town north of Powys) in Wales.

    Lyrebird Chardonnay, South Eastern Australia A fresh lively Chardonnay with juicy, ripe fruit and flavours of lemon and peach, with a positive finish.

    Waverider Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand Fresh and crisp with a great combination of tropical fruitsand grassy herbace characters, plus a ripe citrussy freashness on the finish.

    Rosé Wine:

    California Creek Zinfadel Rosé, USA Light bodied with a medium sweet, with aromatic sweet berry fruit, fleshy peach and juicy watermelon flavours.

    Red Wine:

    Paparuda Pinot Noir, Estate Selection, Romania Fresh and fruity notes of ripe cherry, raspberry and exotic spices.

    Pato Torronte Merlot, Valle Central, Chile Medium bodid, supple and round with flavours of cherry, plum and coffee bean.

    Lyrebird Shiraz, South Eastern Australia A well balanced, soft and juicy wine that boxes above it's wait.

    Don Cristobal 1492 Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina A perfect combination of ripe red fruit character and spice, enhanced by subtle use of French oak barrels. The palet is rich, beefy and almost savoury with lovely length.

    Gustales Crianza, Rioja, Spain Fifteen months in oak, strawberry fruit and vanilla on the nose, smooth. Medium bodied.

    Sparkling Wine:

    Prosecco Frizzante, Treviso, Borgo Frare, Italy A gently sparkling wine with lovely soft peachy fruit, the palet is lovey and juicy with great balance and character A great apéritif.

    Prosecco Veriano, Italy Softly textured fizz with a delicate aroma and flavours of biscuit, ripe pear, melon and peach fruit.

Please take a look at the gallery below to see a selection of our rooms. Check in is from 2pm. Check out at 10.30am. Breakfast from 8am till 9am - Monday to Sunday. For a weekday booking we ask for 2 days notice. For a weekend booking we ask for 3 days notice.
